Hanvon Touchpad B10 BC10C Taken Appart, Disassemble and Fully Dissected

Finally found time to update the look BLOG, to disassemble photos not impress. Sign... TouchPad use to this day exactly a month more than a few days.
But it is maddening is that the parts ordered not in place, such as stents, such as random application.
Even more depressing is that, BIOS upgrade and no to me, with the TouchPad to put the fan running at full speed noise.

Closer to home, put disassemble map.

Looks simple, the back corners, a corner of a screw, but the screws are not used in the common cross Laptop screws, but Hexagon's.
Do not know the reasons for this design was too simple, the back cover and the body will see the gap where integration is not close.

To disassemble, specifically to buy a hexagonal screwdriver.
Very easy to get 4 back cover screws.

Sign ... To Fengyun hidden deep in the screw, knife were sent out ~!
At first I thought it hidden in a rubber mat feet inside, the result cups, open nothing.

Because of the back cover and find Fengyun screw body paint to a small drop Xu.
However, I found TouchPad and rear fuselage are all metal, no wonder the back of the heat more evenly This I like.

Open the back cover look. Clear, simple and compact design.
Batteries account for one third of the space, though a 2.5-inch HDD, but which also appears in the TouchPad enormous.

There is only one memory slot space, when a single 4G notebook memory is also cheaper down?

Copper radiator good texture, but to see the point of the first bent at right angles to brass, from the principle of the heat pipe for thermal performance make this design greatly reduced.

After looking for equipment to be a heat transfer test to test.

Battery Feature. 7.4V4800mAh, mainstream notebook's battery, but can only support the TouchPad three hours of use.
Performance and use of time, really annoying.

TouchPad uses a 3DSP's wireless single-chip solution, integrated 802.11g and BT2.1.
Do not know why not 802.11n, if the BT3.0 perfect: devil:

As the limited size of small size touch computer, TouchPad uses a lot of sub-card bridge program.
For example here, motherboards, and this piece by the two sub-card data bus communication, across the middle of a piece of the hard disk.

Toshiba 2.5-inch 250G5400rpm the HDD, disc marked 5V1A voltage and power consumption, do not know will change into a SSD hard drive performance, while also remaining power? SSD
SSD are too expensive.
.
In exchange for the money to try again.
Note that the hard disk is connected through the daughter card and motherboard.

Samsung DDR2 memory, nothing special, 2G capacity can only meet the general use.
Waiting for the emergence of cheaper 4G.

Remove the memory board after the local feature. Work look good.

CPU and north bridge chip. CULV 730 of the frequency 1.3G, power 10W, performance is about double the N450.
My main choice is one of the reasons TouchPad.
To provide adequate performance for my use.

North Bridge integrated GMA4 mobile graphics chips, game performance is not reported on the count, play games on OK, mainly Chinese and the support of the 720P (1080P legend support, actual results terrible, not much better than the slide shows).

Board on the back of picture.
Integration is high, a lot of data lines. Good work.

This is the bridge drives the daughter card and motherboard connection through data lines.

More complex piece of sub-card.
Audio input and output, HDMI output, USB × 2, card reader.

Daughter card on the back. Are three data communication card port.
Small crabs are familiar with the integrated sound card chip.

Piece of unknown function daughter card, a daughter card connected to the above piece, an optical touch mouse connected.

Physical button on the side of the fuselage sub-card.
Has yet to find a custom button that five good way.

Daughter card camera and microphone. Provide 130W pixel camera.
The daughter card is very small, do not know the phone is not also used this?

After all the board removed the body.
Between the motherboard and LCD screen separated by a metal plate for protection and heat dissipation. LCD screen and the body adhesive, can not be removed.
Wireless card signal line is distributed in the medial edge of the fuselage.

Feature speaker body. Like a button battery. Only provide sound and effective general, the volume generally. Advisable to wear headphones in public places.

Finally, to a dismantling of the family portrait it. Still find many of the parts look. A total of 46 screws. As the design outstanding, I can easily assemble all the parts back, which is not more screws to How many pieces.

TouchPad of dismantling this all over.
Thank you SR for filming.

They gradually will be sent after the actual experience.
Thank you for your attention.

  2. the screen is actually removable, you will need to peel the tape along the rim of the screen, because the black adhesive is stuck to the tape.

  10. the battery is a cr1225 (3V) with two soldered "fins".
On this on, the "fins" are the wrong way...but that's better than nothing :)

  11. Yeah, and some Pics would be nice (reupload?). How complicated is changing CMOS Battery? I get an unused Hanvon B10, looks like brandnew, but CMOS-Battery is emtpy. And can the RAM be upgradet? What sort of DDR2-SoDimm is it? I would like to use this thing, because for the stuff i will use it, the machine has enough power. It would be bad to put it in trash. And maybe someone have an image from stock HDD with recovery-partition? And how do i unlock the HDD? The steps from quick-start-guide dont work (i dont get to the screen with the option to unlock).

If you can help me, here my mail: fatman @ gmx . eu
    Vorzugsweise auch in Deutsch ;)
